Vitamin C

Intravenous Vitamin C has been given to patients to assist with various ailments for several decades. Experts have recently suggested that while oral Vitamin C is a vitamin, intravenous Vitamin C may actually function as a "drug". This statement is based upon research at the National Institutes of Health. The only known contraindications to Vitamin C other than obviously allergy include kidney failure and deficiency of the enzyme G6PD. For this reason, laboratory studies are indicated prior to Vitamin C infusion. This includes a blood test for G6PD which can be done through our lab - results usually take 2-3 days. Intravenous Vitamin C has been used as therapy for several conditions and may help with the following problems:

  • Viral, Fungal, or Bacterial Infections
  • Allergies/Sinus Problems
  • Wound Healing
  • Inflammatory
  • Disorders/Fibromyalgia
  • Cancer/Detoxification
